Yes kids, that's right!!!

Live from the playa. We have wireless.... fucking hell this rocks!

The man was raised tonight and just as he was about to be locked into
place a nearly full moon rose up behind him.

I've been placing art for two days solid now- somehow we ended up
doing double shifts both days- so 10 hours work each day. We've been
out here 48 hours now. We arrived Thursday just in time for Ladies
night. Everyone here no matter how crusty or male must be a lady that
night. There were many interesting, lewd, pretty, vulgar, hot and
bizzare ladies. The best was the Pabst Blue Ribbon queen, this big
bear man with a gown and trail made from PBR cans.

We've been fed insanely well from the commisary cause we're workin'
for the man. Last night was a stirfry dinner with rice and cold
chocolate eclairs and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Chicken breast
and salad for lunch. Unbelievable that they feed 4-500 per meal and
they're not using any paper products to serve the food on! even the
cutlery is compostable.

The weather has been colder then usual, but not as bad as 99. The
playa is squishy, but not as bad as 2001. There was a several hour
rainstorm on Thursday that had the city shut for 12 hours, no one
allowed to come in so that the roads wouldn't get wrecked. So far, the
wind has been calm and the days sunny but not blazing. Bring extra
layers, just to be safe and warm!

The pendulum is up and the art is going in tomorrow. Some Blyssers are
here with more coming tomorrow. Last night when I went to bed at 10pm
there was almost no one on the Esplanade. When I peed at 1pm all you
could see in the distance were lines of headlights coming in from the
gate- all the theme camps were arriving. When I woke up at 7am the
change in the first two streets was noticeable, by late afternoon, you
wouldn't know it was the same city as the day before. We are at the
point where the tension boils from those who have been here for days
to weeks builing the city and thinking, "Why are you all coming?" and
those incoming yelling "Yeah! I'm home". I think it will be weird to
have more people around til at least Tuesday... then it might become
more normal to have a full city. It's been unique and amazing to be
out here early, I will never do the playa any other way again.

Please come and say hi at the Artery if you come out! We are literally
in center camp right beside Arctica. We are camped directly out back
of the Artery in the shade of the office out back.
